My Freeform Life

The picture to the left is our wedding, Pam's and mine.
The picture above is near our home in Yosemite National Park near Bridal Veil Falls.

As you can see, I waited until I was well into my 50's before getting married.

Backing up a little bit, I am third generation southern California. I was raised in Los Angeles county during the 1950's. We lived close enough to downtown Los Angeles to see the smoke from the Watts riots in 1964.

When I was 18 years old, I realized that I was an adult and could live anywhere I wanted to. So, I decided that I would only live in Resort areas. It's a good life, as you see in the above picture, I live near Yosemite now and have lived in some of the most beautiful tourist areas in California.

I have thought of trying other states and country's but have not pulled that trigger yet. In the 1970's I thought strongly about moving to Mexico but decided to stay here and visit Mexico often. I love it down there, I still wouldn't rule out a move. In the 1980's I was offered an island in the Caribbean. It was only half a million dollars, had a dock for tourist ships, cabins to rent out a very nice home to live in, smaller homes for the hired help to live in and a nice large fresh water storage lake. There was a store and restaurant. I finally decided to move on because Hurricanes make me nervous. Being from Los Angeles, I can handle earth quakes but not hurricanes.
